Volunteer
Your time and talents are a perfect fit for Rocktown History.
You have so much to offer.
Making connections. Helping neighbors. Bringing people together. Sharing a love of history. These are just some of the meaningful things you can do when you become a volunteer with Rocktown History. Whether you’re a retiree, student, working professional, or full-time caregiver, you can have fun and fulfilling experiences as a member of our dedicated and eclectic volunteer team. Our volunteers find a sense of purpose by working on something bigger than themselves and helping to build stronger community ties.
When you volunteer with us, you may have the opportunity to greet museum visitors, help library users find the resources they need, or work directly on exhibits and displays. Or, maybe you prefer to dedicate your volunteer time to grounds work, building maintenance, carpentry, data entry (on-site or from home), or other much-needed administrative tasks. There’s truly something for everyone when it comes to sharing your time and talents with us.
Not a history whiz? No problem. Curiosity and a willingness to pitch in are the only prerequisites. All of our volunteer roles are customized to match your interests and availability. In addition, there may be training opportunities available for volunteers who wish to gain professional skills in collections management and museum education.
There’s so much happening at Rocktown History and volunteers are at the heart of everything we do – let us connect you with the role that’s right for you!
