LocationNear Union Springs, Rockingham County, Virginia. From Harrisonburg, drive south on Route 42 three miles to Dayton. Turn right (west) on Route 257 (Ottobine Road). About 6 miles at crossroads with Route 613 (Briery Branch Road), go straight ahead on Waggy's Creek Road (Route 742). About 1.5 miles at crossroads with Daniel Cupp Road, go straight ahead on Route 742. About 1.3 miles is the entrance of Union Springs which is on the left (do not turn in). The Croushorn house is on the right just beyond the Union Springs entrance. The cemetery is just "behind" the yard. Best entry is from the field in back thru brush and small trees.
NotesThis cemetery was not incluled in those recorded by J. Robert Swank. Very overgrown. There is one marble marker with the name "Croushorn" a few other stones appear to be fieldstones that are buried and unreadable. Did not see the "JC" marker that used to be visible.
Survey Date and RecorderJuly 5, 2002.
Mr. Dale Croushorn. Walked by Seymour Paul.
