Notes | In 1967 J. Robert Swank wrote: There is evidence of ten or more graves marked by field stones. Unfenced in pasture field. From burnt deeds, Rockingham Courthouse we found: Deed Book 7 pg 115, April 11, 1825 Daniel Harshbarger to Henry Rhodes-2 plus acres. Deed Book 33 pg 439 Elizabeth Harshbarger, Catherine Harshbarger, Daniel Miller and wife Rebecca to Harshbarger and Shem Harshbarger-14 acres adj. Blossers, Ann Harshbarger, and Abel and Henry Gile. Deed Book 36 pg 437, Nov 3, 1824 Daniel & Elizabeth Garber to Daniel Harshbarger a parcel of land adj. Peter Blosser. Note in minutes-lost-Daniel Harsbarger from Henry Rhodes. In 2003 checked with Charles and William Wampler and they have no knowledge of this cemetery. |
