Cemetery	Jacob Rhodes Family Cemetery
Location	Mt. Valley area, Cockingham County, Virginia. From Court Square in Harrisonburg, Virginia, take Route 11 North (No. Valley Pike) for 7.1 miles and turn right onto Route 721 (Fellowship Road). Go 1.2 miles and turn left onto Route 717 (Indian Trail Road) . Go 3/10ths mile and turn right onto Route 811 (Fridleys Gap Road). Go 2.7 miles and on left side of road you will see an old brick home. The cemetery is located about 1/8 mile behind the house. Mr. And Mrs. John eid are the present owners of this property. You need permission to visit this cemetery. You can check with Mr. Marvin Ogburn at 2525 Fridleys Gap Road if the Reids are not home.
Notes	The "Remarks" were recorded by the DAR in the 1960's. There may be unmarked graves. In the 1960's the DAR noted that the Catherine Rodes broken stone and another old stone with no inscription may be the stones of Philip Rodes and wife Catherine. Family records say they were buried in this graveyard. Jacob Rhodes was a son of Philip Rodes or Rhodes. The cemetery is located behind the house and in a field. It is about a 1/8 mile walk to the cemetery. It has an iron fence around it, under cedar trees, and not well maintained.
