Preserving Lost Communities
Thursday, January 16, 2024, 7pm | In-Person & YouTube Live
With Linda Edwards
Linda Edwards has found her passion in preserving the stories of “lost” communities. Combining historical research, old and new images, and first-person accounts, her popular books bring to life the histories of Mt. Solon, Mossy Creek, Sangerville, and Stokesville—places that once bustled, but whose dots have faded on the maps.
Edwards emphasizes the importance of preserving history before it fades, ensuring that the vibrant legacies of these communities endure for future generations. Come hear the stories she has saved!
The program will begin at 7:00 pm in the Rocktown History lecture hall. Can’t join us in person? Open the Rocktown History YouTube channel to watch a livestream of the talk.
